Cikgu Kurang Ajar

Got a call from Arisya's maths teacher this morning, asking permission to cane her for not doing schoolwork.

Laziness and indiscipline are my pantang. So my response was, Go Ahead! as long as it's on her palm or may be leg, and it doesn't leave any marks.

When I arrived at the school to fetch my girl in the afternoon, I heard a lot about this Cikgu Saiful from other parents.

It seems that he came to Sek Keb Cochrane Perkasa, KL, only last year and since then, he has been ordering the students to take lengthy notes during class and forces them to complete the notes even if it means they have to skip recess.

This teacher also gives the students too much work to be done at home and with the threat to cane, the kids tend to set aside other subjects in favour of his.

What got me mad is that this Cikgu Saiful hit my girl on the head with a book, so Arisya told me. Yes, I use cane to discipline my kids but never have I hit them on the head.

This Cikgu Saiful so Kurang Ajar!

1Malaysia 1Bahasa 1Sekolah

Yep, do support the call to revert to using Bahasa Malaysia in teaching Science and Mathematics but only if vernacular schools are done away with.

In the spirit of 1Malaysia mooted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, all Malaysians should speak one language, taught in one language and go to one school. Are Malaysians ready?

Otherwise, retain the status quo!

Polis vs Kugan

Countdown to Retirement

Seriously nak retire from work. Dah bosan kerja dengan Bernama.

Joined Bernama as cadet reporter in March 1993 dengan elaun RM500 sebulan. Absorbed as Pegawai Berita in June the same year. A year later job title tukar jadi Eksekutif Editorial.

After five years buat reporting for Economic Desk, switched to the BM Subs sebab dah bosan. In 2004, kena tendang ke English Subs of the General News Service.

Sekarang dah tak ade tempat nak pergi lagi kecuali out of Bernama.

Article 16 (6): "If the MB ceases to command the confidence of the majority of the members of the Legislative Assembly, then, unless at his request His Royal Highness dissolves the Legislative Assembly, he shall tender the resignation of the Executive Council.

Article 16 (7): "Subject to Clause (6) a member of the Executive Council other than the MB shall hold office at His Royal Highness' pleasure, but any member of the Council may at any time resign his office."

Media statement issued by office of Sultan Azlan Shah of Perak signed by private secretary, Col Datuk Abd Rahim Mohamad Nor:

Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin was granted an audience by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan on Feb 4, to ask for his Royal Highness’s consent to dissolve the Perak State Assembly.
